I dig trains. From childhood, seeing those Chessie System boxcars parked along the Owens-Corning siding in Barrington, NJ, or the simple Tyco set pop would setup around the Christmas tree, the roots run deep in my life.
Perhaps a bit of a contradiction with my passion for the natural world? Maybe that’s not quite fair. Seeing a train roll down the Lehigh Gorge of Pennsylvania, or along the Clark Fork River of Montana–yeah, I’d say it doesn’t get much better.
I’ve been on the board of directors the Anthracite Railroads Historical Society for a number of years now. Cool group.
